Tolmachevo Airport has completed preparation for the autumn and winter period
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport has completed preparation for the 2016-2017 autumn and winter period.
The airport’s services have made a complex of preventive arrangements aiming to provide failure-free operation of the ground equipment, mechanical aids, buildings and constructions within winter.
Necessary chemicals and de-icing fluid as well as consumables for snow removal machines have been purchased in order to provide servicing aircrafts in low-temperature conditions.
The airport’s personnel have taken regular training including the one at operating specifics in winter. Tolmachevo is ready for operating during the autumn and winter period according to all necessary requirements to passenger, aircraft, luggage and cargo handling.
Winter flight schedule will be valid from October 30, 2016 to March 26, 2017. In the coming 2016/2017 season NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport will offer its passengers a new flight schedule with some new destinations as well as recommenced seasonal routes.
The airport will traditionally offer flights to popular tourist sites: Bangkok, Phuket, Goa, Nha Trang etc. This is the first time since 2014 when charter flights from Novosibirsk to Sanya are planned again in the winter season. The airport will keep servicing regular flights to Beijing, Hong Kong, Prague, Istanbul, Munich, Dubai as well as ChinaSouthernAirlines’ flights to Urumchi.
This is the first time when regular flights to Mineralnyje Vody, started this summer, will be kept for the winter season. Flights to Seoul (once a week), to Sochi (twice a week) as well as to Simferopol (up to twice a week) will be also offered.
S7 Airlines will start flights to Yekaterinburg (three times a week), Krasnodar (twice a week) in winter. Pobeda Airlines will keep performing everyday flights to Yekaterinburg. RusLine Airlines are planning to start performing flights on this route three times a week.
Compared to last winter, S7 Airlines will increase the number of flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Blagoveshchensk, Irkutsk, Chita, Almaty, Bishkek, Osh, Khujand etc.
Aeroflot adds the fourth everyday flight to Moscow.
IrAero starts extra flights in such directions as Chita, Blagoveshchensk, Magadan, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Ulan-Ude. The flights will be performed on SukhoiSuperjet 100 aircrafts.
From November 1, the schedule of Novosibirsk airport will offer a new flight to Perm, which will be performed by UVT Aero twice a week.
Vim-Airlines is planning to perform flights on the new route Novosibirsk-Komsomolsk-on-Amur twice a week up to the end of the winter season.
Flight to Baikit performed by KrasAvia is new among regional directions. UTair will prolong everyday flight Krasnoyarsk-Novosibirsk to Tyumen, thus, the number of flights in Tyumen direction will increase to 11 a week.
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport has been working hard in order to create comfortable conditions for passengers. It started the works of the reconstruction of Section A: three more gates will be provided, and the area of toilets for the passengers in sterile zone will be extended. The possibility to install the third passenger boarding bridge is under consideration. One more (the third) baggage carousel has been installed and now works in the baggage claim area.
The airport is preparing to launch service zone for transfer passengers arriving in Novosibirsk on international flights and going to continue their trip on domestic flights.
In order to improve passenger service, a currency exchange office by the largest international network Global Exchange was opened in Tolmachevo airport.
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 1300 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories.
