New Flight to Lankaran
Starting from June 14, 2015, Angara Airlines, a partner of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport, commences operation of direct regular flights to Lankaran. Flights will be operated on Sundays on An-148 aircraft in 75 seats configuration.
This is the first scheduled international flight of Angara Airlines ever operated from Novosibirsk. The airline has obtained permission for international flight operations in 2014.
Flight 905 departs from Novosibirsk at 06:45, return Flight 906 departs from Lankaran at 12:00. Local time applies.
Lankaran is one of the largest cities of Azerbaijan. Located in the south-east of the country near the border with Iran, on the Caspian Sea, the city is situated in a picturesque corner of the country, where are concentrated many natural and historical attractions. The climate there is humid subtropical, with moderately warm winters and dry, hot summers. Lankaran is important balneological (spa) center with thermal springs located near the city.
NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest air hub in Russia east of the Urals on major transit routes between Europe and Asia. The capacity of domestic terminal makes up to 1,800 passengers per hour, while the international terminal capacity – up to 750 passengers per hour. The airport has two runways of ICAO I and II Categories. In 2014 the passenger traffic exceeded 3.9 mln passengers and cargo traffic totalled 28.6 thousand tons of cargo and mail handled.
Angara Airlines belongs to one of the major regional air carriers in East Siberia which provides regular passenger flights within the Irkutsk region and the Siberian Federal District as well as operates charter flights in the whole territory of Russia. The company was established in 2000, it is a member of Eastland group of companies. The airline’s fleet comprises five An-148, seven An-24, two An-26-100, four An-2 aircraft and fifteen Mi-8 helicopters of various modifications.
